I have an idea for a beginners course tarot using bible stories. It is hard to explain in English, and to be honest, also in Dutch. What follows is a part of it. I want to practice the swords cards wit a spread. The spread is meant to interpret the bible story. Each person in class pulls one card from his/her swords cards. For the course on Psalm 119 and the tarot (second row of seven cards and seven stanza’s) I thought ‘surrender’ was an good theme (... a difficult one too…). The work on this theme will be a home work assignment. It is a spread that consists of two questions. I decorated the cards to make them my own; I have put them in my faith box.

I should not do this, I am to tired, but I am also curious. There are spiders in the garden. It is almost September. In the morning their webs are glistering in the sun and the dew. The schedule of readings I use proposes Mark for the Sundays of Lent. I like John more and more, his poetic, enigmatic sentences and his mystical images, thus it cost me to change Gospels today, but the passage I’ve read today is beautifully written (Mark 8:11-21). See here:
